Established at the beginning of 2005 and confirmed to be a development zone at provincial level in No.84 proclamation issued by National Development and Planning Commission. Zhejiang Yuyao Industrial Zone has a total plan area of 31.6 square kilometers,including 13 administrative villages and one committee with a registered population of 42,000 in 2008. After over 6 years’ deploration, our zone has already formed a preliminary shape with industrial gathering,convenient transport and high rate of afforestation.The development environment of our Zone is optimized day by day.
1.Development Target
Our development target is to be a base for advanced characteristic manufacturing industry, a service centre for modern industry as well as a garden-like ecological new area.During the next several years,our Zone will be developed into an important part of northern center of Ningbo.With the completion of Hangzhouwan Bay Bridge in the year 2008, two hours is now enough for you to reach the famous cities around Yangtze River Delta,such as Shanghai,Suzhou,Hangzhou and Ningbo,etc.
2. Transportation
Our Zone is only 20km from Hangzhouwan Bay Bridge which was put into use in the year 2008.You can travel to other neighboring cities either by taxi,bus,coach,train,or plane.It is quite convenient.There are four airports around: Ningbo International Airport,45 minutes by bus; Hangzhou International Airport,an hour by bus; Shanghai(Hongqiao)International Airport and Shanghai(Pudong)International Airport, two hours and a half by bus.You can export your goods from Ningbo Port as navigation lines to all countries over the world are available for you.The transition center for the planned Hangzhou-Ningbo Express Railway which costs 16.6 billion will be east of our Zone and put into use in the year 2012.
3.Investment Environment
The geological condition here is ideal and the north is higher than the south regarding the physical features of the Zone.The soil is of stable mechanical feature and every square kilometer of it can bear pressure as heavy as about 20 tons.The land here is high,dry,and flat,not affected by typhoon and sea waves.It is fit for large-scale,intensified and long-term deploration,After over six years’ development,we have already thrown in an amount of 2.7 billion yuan RMB and finished a starting section of 6.3 square kilometers.It costs as much as 120 million yuan RMB per square kilometer for infrastructure.Therefore,it is fully equipped with necessary accessories as roads,water supply,electricity,sewage drainage,telecommunication and living condition,etc.
4.Industrial Foundation
The city of Yuyao is one of the most competitive cities in our country.It is famous for its plastics processing,mold making,hardware spareparts and small household electrical appliances.Our Zone has preliminarily formed three prop industries,namely textile and chemical fiber, machine and bearing,and plastics and electrical appliances.In 2008,we achieved a total industrial output value of 13.6 billion.Due to the flourishing economy and favourable living condition,the Zone has a strong appeal to the settlement and employment of professional technicians and skilled industrial workers.At present, there are already nearly 50 thousand nonnative workers in the Zone.
